TRAVEL: Savvy Savannah

It's been quite some time since I've been to Savannah.

Probably a little more than a year and a half ago, since I moved out of Georgia.

However, when one of my sweet friends here in Raleigh told me she was heading there for the weekend - I thought... why not suggest some ideas that everyone can check out!  (Especially my Macon/Atlanta friends who are just a couple hours away!)

So, here are a few of my favorite places in Savannah.

Great drinks and food!  They have a rooftop deck that's really fun.  I went at night, which was pretty - you can see the whole city along the river.

Super cute spot.  I went when they didn't have a liquor license yet, so I missed out on all the delicious martinis they're now known for.

Easiest way to see the city and soak up its rich history.  They have carriages roll through the squares all day.  Just hop on board and enjoy!

River Street:

Candy stores and seafood shacks galore!  Simply walking down the river is fun.   Be sure to bring your wallet.  Lots of gift shops line the street as well!

I've never been here, but everyone says its a guaranteed good time and the drinks are delicious.  Definitely worth checking out!  Maybe you can fill me in on what it's like!

Meanwhile, with the summer travel season heating up, I think it's time to bring back my "Summer Travel Series".  A great way to see and share what you find in the new cities you explore.

Feel free to send me an email if you'd like to show off your favorite city or the places you explore over the next few months!  LinnieatLarge@gmail.com
