TRAVEL: The Musical City of Nashville

I'm going to start off by saying that this post is LONG overdue!

Nashville, TN

I actually went to Nashville months ago for a quick Labor Day weekend getaway with my roommate, Vanessa, to visit her brother!

Now, a few months later, one of my other friends is getting ready to head to Music City and I thought it would be more than appropriate to finally get this post up on the blog.

Every city has its certain charm and appeal, and Nashville is no different.  It was unlike anything I had ever seen.

The sights and scenes of Nashville

Imagine enjoying a drink at high noon with friends on a casual Saturday afternoon and having a live band playing in the backdrop.

There's ALWAYS live music playing somewhere in the city.

Robert's Western World

Especially downtown.  That's where all the so-called "honky tonks" are, which I learned are the old time country bars that embody the original spirit of Nashville.

It's the musical foundation the city was built on.

Over the decades, the city has evolved and actually embraces music of all genres.

Several big name artists of today got their start in good ol' Nashville (ie: Kings of Leon).

From the food to the nightlife, and that southern charm you know I love, I can't wait to go back... hopefully soon!
