TRAVEL: Wrapped up in Raleigh!

Summer is hands down the busiest travel season of the year.

Every time I chat with a friend, they're packing their bags and heading out of town to a fun, new destination.

That's why I'm kicking off a summer travel series on my blog.  I'm sharing everyone's adventures while they're "at large" during these not-so-lazy days of summer.

Even though I live in Raleigh, I thought I'd kick off the series by showcasing the City of Oaks and all of the treasures it has too offer.

Whether you're vacationing in a cool place or live in an exciting city, I'd love to hear from you!  Please let me know if you're interested in contributing to the summer travel series!

Wining and dining: buku, Sitti, The Big Easy
So many restaurants in downtown Raleigh feature worldly cuisine.  Try them all!  More details {here}

Refreshing drink: Foundation
Every review I hear about Foundation is outstanding.  Their drinks are so well done.  Most ingredients are made in-house.

Late night music, fun: Neptunes Parlour
Part of my birthday celebration took place here.  Great atmosphere and amazing music!  Major props to the DJ!

Sweet treats: Pie Bird
I have the biggest sweet tooth ever!  Not only can you get an amazing slice of pie, but you can also grab lunch or dinner here too! More details here {here}

Shop 'til you drop: Fab'rik Raleigh!!
I love this Atlanta based franchise.  Not only is their clothing affordable and always on trend, but the ladies who work here are super sweet.  More fashion fun {here}

Love this landmark: The old capitol building
Located in the heart of the city -- it's majestic at night.

Raleigh wrap-up:  It's a great place to live, work, and play.

Fayetteville Street, Downtown Raleigh

There's so many young professionals with big goals, dreams, and aspirations.  It's the perfect blend of a small town feel with a big city presence.  I feel like I can connect with the people I'm introduced to; while constantly meeting new creative people around town.

I've only been here for 6 months and have already learned so much.  There's just SO much more exploring to do.

What's your favorite part about Raleigh?

  1. Ahh, this makes me miss Raleigh! As far as restaurants are concerned I'd have to say I miss Five Star the most.
