TRAVEL: Meeting Virginia

When was the last time you went on a road trip?

A quick three hour drive from Raleigh took me to the countryside of Virginia.

I was delighted to have the chance to celebrate Sara D's birthday at her family's home on the lake.

It was a throwback to the traditional slumber parties we all had growing up.  They were filled with plenty of food, sweets, and good times!

I love Raleigh, but it's hard being so far away from my family.  That's why it was such a treat to get to know her loving parents and family friends.  It reminded me of home.
