FOOD: new season, fresh produce

As seasons change so do local produce options. 

 

Every week I pick up a produce box filled with fresh grown items from local farmers. (see: fresh off the farm)

This time around was a welcome change from the usual root vegetables and leafy greens I get during the winter months.  

A true sign that spring is here; I found lots of new options at the NC Farmer's Market. 

What's inside: 

strawberries, snap peas, asparagus, greenhouse tomatoes

On the side: 

fresh eggs, carrots

This produce is from Wise Farm CSA (community supported agriculture) and must be picked up weekly.
